Sarah Palin Op-Ed: Obama Drilling Farce --STALL, BABY, STALL--

Wednesday, March 31, 2010 1 Response
The National Review Online: The Corner Stall, Baby Stall [Sarah Palin]
Many Americans fear that President Obama’s new energy proposal is once again “all talk and no real action,” this time in an effort to shore up fading support for the Democrats’ job-killing cap-and-trade (a.k.a. cap-and-tax) proposals. Behind the rhetoric lie new drilling bans and leasing delays; soon to follow are burdensome new environmental regulations. Instead of “drill, baby, drill,” the more you look into this the more you realize it’s “stall, baby, stall.”

Today the president said he’ll “consider potential areas for development in the mid and south Atlantic and the Gulf of Mexico, while studying and protecting sensitive areas in the Arctic.” As the former governor of one of America’s largest energy-producing states, a state oil and gas commissioner, and chair of the nation’s Interstate Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, I’ve seen plenty of such studies. What we need is action — action that results in the job growth and revenue that a robust drilling policy could provide. And let’s not forget that while Interior Department bureaucrats continue to hold up actual offshore drilling from taking place, Russia is moving full steam ahead on Arctic drilling, and China, Russia, and Venezuela are buying leases off the coast of Cuba.

As an Alaskan, I’m especially disheartened by the new ban on drilling in parts of the 49th state and the cancellation of lease sales in the Chukchi and Beaufort seas. These areas contain rich oil and gas reserves whose development is key to our country’s energy security. As I told Secretary Salazar last April, “Arctic exploration and development is a slow, demanding process. Delays or major restrictions in accessing these resources for environmentally responsible development are not in the national interest or the interests of the State of Alaska.”

I’ve got to call it like I see it: The administration’s sudden interest in offshore drilling is little more than political posturing designed to gain support for job-killing energy legislation soon to come down the pike. I’m confident that GOP senators will not take the bait.

Next week I’m headed to the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans, where I look forward to discussing what “Drill, baby, drill” really means.

Sarah Palin On Obama Drilling: JOB KILLER, MORE LIES

Wednesday, March 31, 2010 2 Responses
Sarah Palin Tweet:
Rep.Boehner spot-on Obama goal=cram thru job-killing, energy-depleting, burdensome Cap & Tax scheme on heels of Obama's new"pro-drilling"msg
Boehner: Obama’s Decision Keeps Vast Majority of America’s Offshore Energy Off Limits
“The Obama Administration continues to defy the will of the American people who strongly supported the bipartisan decision of Congress in 2008 to lift the moratorium on offshore drilling not just off the East Coast and in the Gulf of Mexico, but off the Pacific Coast and Alaskan shores as well. Opening up areas off the Virginia coast to offshore production is a positive step, but keeping the Pacific Coast and Alaska, as well as the most promising resources off the Gulf of Mexico, under lock and key makes no sense at a time when gasoline prices are rising and Americans are asking ‘Where are the jobs?’
“It’s long past time for this Administration to stop delaying American energy production off all our shores and start listening to the American people who want an “all of the above” strategy to produce more American energy and create more jobs.  Republicans are listening to the American people and have proposed a better solution – the American Energy Act – which will lower gas prices, increase American energy production, promote new clean and renewable sources of energy, and encourage greater efficiency and conservation.
“At the same time the White House makes today’s announcement, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is plotting a new massive job-killer that the American people can’t afford: a cascade of new EPA regulations that will punish every American who dares to flip on a light switch, drive a car, or buy an American product.  Americans simply don’t want this backdoor national energy tax that will drive up energy and manufacturing costs and destroy jobs in our states and local communities.”

Harris Poll: Sarah Palin Leads Vs. Obama or Romney

Tuesday, March 30, 2010 0 Responses
If the election were held today, Sarah Palin would carry the Western if her opponents were Democrat Barack Obama or Republican Mitt Romney, according to a Harris Interactive poll released Monday.
Sarah Palin would also carry the Southern & finish 2nd to Mitt Romney in the Midwestern, according to Harris.  Obama leads only in the Northeastern.
By region:
West: Sarah Palin 24, Obama 22, Romney 21
South: Sarah Palin 36, Romney 35, Obama 31
Midwest: Romney 25, Palin 22, Obama 21
Northeast: Obama 26, Romney 20, Palin 18

Palin has encouraged Tea Party members to affiliate with a major party and they are her biggest supporters . She is also the only political figure that can easily fill a large stadium.
She spoke to Tea Party supporters over the weekend in Nevada and a massive crowd came to see her. She will continue to make appearances in the West, including a June 25 speech at California State University, Stanislaus in Turlock (Full Schedule).
Although Mitt Romney has great private sector experience his time has governor was not very successful.   Add creating a type of obama care for MA  will hurt is chances for the WH and suffering with mild case of foot-in-mouth disorder does not help either. Unlike Joe Biden, Romney’s foot-in-mouth disorder is more of the mean spirited & sarcastic type but he has improved.  Please do not take my criticism the wrong way, if he or any other GOP candidate wins the nomination I will support that person.
Obama has disappointed many of his supporters and can no longer fill an auditorium as we are seeing with his defense health care tour.

Sarah Palin Endorses 3 Vets For Congress: Lieut Colonel Allen West, Major Vaughn Ward & Capt Adam Kinzinger

Monday, March 29, 2010 1 Response
America, if you love your freedom, thank a vet! And if you’re looking for leaders who believe in integrity, service, and country first, look to our veterans.
Last week I campaigned for a true American hero, John McCain, and this week I’d ask you to join me in supporting a new generation of heroes who are heeding their country’s call for leadership in Washington.
There are a number of great veteran candidates running for office this year, and there are some excellent organizations dedicated to helping them, including: Iraq Vets for Congress and Combat Veterans for Congress (please click on the links to visit their websites).
There are three veterans in particular I’ll be supporting this week.
The first is Major Vaughn Ward, a fourth-generation Idaho native who grew up on his family’s farm in Shoshone and is running in Idaho’s 1st Congressional District. Coming from a family with a proud military tradition, Vaughn enlisted in the Marine Corps after college and was finishing up his service when the September 11th attacks occurred. He put his life on hold and heeded his country’s call – serving first as a CIA Operations Officer and later volunteering with the Marine Corps for a combat tour in Iraq, during which he was awarded the Bronze Star with Combat V. After returning from Iraq, Vaughn went to work for the McCain/Palin campaign. I was grateful for his support then, and I’m happy to support him now because I know that he believes in the same commonsense conservative ideals that we cherish. Vaughn knows that real job growth comes from the private sector, not government. He believes in free market reforms, tax relief for families and small businesses, and a return to a constitutionally limited government that lives within its means. He’ll carry the conservative banner to Washington and will rein in the reckless growth of government to get it back on our side. And remember, a vote for Vaughn is a vote to remove the gavel from Nancy Pelosi’s grip. Please visit Vaughn’s website here to make a donation to his campaign, and follow him on Facebook and Twitter.
The second veteran is Captain Adam Kinzinger, a decorated special-operations pilot who flew combat missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. Adam is running for Illinois’ 11th Congressional District against a freshman incumbent congresswoman who seemed to pull a bait and switch on voters to get elected. She sounded like a blue dog on the campaign trail, but didn’t vote like one in Washington. Instead, she voted in lockstep with the Pelosi agenda – on Obamacare, the stimulus, cap-and-tax – and the list goes on. She’s part of the reason for Congress’ 11% approval rating. Adam is a strong fiscal conservative with a proven track record as a reformer from his years serving on his local county board. Adam started out in local office, and, like many of us, believes in making government more accountable to the people. When you serve in local office, your constituents truly are your neighbors. Adam understands this, and I know that he will listen to his constituents and work for us, not against us, in Washington. Please visit Adam’s website here to make a donation to his campaign, and follow him on Facebook and Twitter
The third veteran is Lieutenant Colonel Allen West, a decorated war hero who’s served with distinction in combat zones in Iraq and Afghanistan. Many of you may have heard of Allen from a speech he gave last year that became a viral video on YouTube with over 2 million viewers. Allen’s personal story is a testament to the commonsense conservative belief that our nation’s greatness is rooted in freedom, because with freedom comes equal opportunity, and that, coupled with hard work, leads to success. Allen is a small government fiscal conservative running against a leftwing ideologue who’s marched to the beat of Nancy Pelosi on every issue from cap-and-tax to the stimulus, TARP, and, of course, Obamacare. It’s time to send Allen to Washington in his place. Please visit Allen’s website here to donate to his campaign, and follow him on Facebook and Twitter.
I believe that these great veterans will fight for us in D.C. to uphold and defend our constitution as courageously in the halls of Congress as they did on the field of battle. I’m so honored to offer my support to these American heroes, and I hope you’ll join me in helping them so that they can serve us all in Washington.

Time Magazine: Sarah Palin Unmatched National Appeal, Obama Care Her Opening Battle

Monday, March 29, 2010 0 Responses
Mark Halperin, of Time Magazine, wrote an incredibly unbiased piece on Sarah Palin’s appeal to many Americans.  He shrewdly understands she is not just the GOP frontrunner but the undisputed Republican Party leader, in-part, because she is only one that can fearlessly bringing the fight to Obama: Sarah Palin Goes to War: Go for It? Hell, Yes!

After signing his landmark health care measure into law and re-stoking the fires of his presidency, Barack Obama took a victory lap in Iowa on March 25 and dared Republicans to put health care repeal at the center of their 2010 campaigns with the cheeky challenge "Go for it." Sarah Palin jumped in with both high-heeled feet and a rallying cry the equivalent of "Hell, yes!"

In Washington, many Republican leaders are now waffling and wavering over their previous aggressively negative stance on the health care bill, seeing peril in opposing the measure's more popular provisions. They are searching for a more nuanced and modulated message that will allow them to avoid the damning Party of No label, while still making their principles clear.

But Sarah Palin doesn't really do nuance or modulation. Defiance is more her style, and this past weekend she used her folksy brand of full-throated opposition to dominate American politics yet again with appearances in Arizona and Nevada. The lady from the frozen north happens to be one heck of a Sun Belt candidate, and within the conservative movement she has unmatched national appeal. […]

Indeed, by carefully controlling her own visibility — and refusing to be challenged or held accountable by adversaries or the press — she has become even more irresistible as programming and copy. Just last week, she signed a television deal reportedly worth millions ($12 million) to be featured in an eight-episode documentary called Sarah Palin's Alaska on Discovery's TLC channel. [...]

Palin hit the road this past weekend to influence the fortunes of two 27-year veterans of Congress, who simultaneously entered the House in 1983 and the Senate in 1987 and who are now facing the toughest races of their careers. Palin spent Friday and Saturday morning in Tucson and Phoenix, Ariz., to help save the job of John McCain, the man who put her on the political and cultural map when he added her to the Republican ticket in 2008. […]

Back together on the stump for the first time since the end of the presidential campaign, Palin delivered the goods: earnestly, even poignantly, selling the message that McCain is a true Tea Party conservative and that the movement needs some battle-tested, experienced veterans in Congress to skillfully take the fight to the Democrats, alongside younger firebrands like Republican Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown and herself. "We need new blood," she said, "but we also need heroes and statesmen."

Notably, all the cable-news networks (Fox included) cut away from live coverage once Palin had concluded her remarks and McCain began his, although McCain's team professed only delight with the turnout.

Perhaps most important, McCain was consecrated by the darling of the conservative movement, who inspires love from its members while he has stirred mostly mistrust.  […]

But the passage of health care gives the President's party confidence that they have a fighting chance to keep Palin from commanding her grass-roots army to victory. Don't be surprised if the former Alaska governor, as well as a host of politicians, pundits and the press, use martial imagery to describe events over the next seven months and to rally the troops accordingly. For Palin — and Obama, Reid and McCain — the passage of health care was not the war — it was just the opening battle.

Sarah Palin Targets Liberals (Politically & Correctly): Shoot With Accuracy; Aim High

Sunday, March 28, 2010 0 Responses
March Madness battles rage! My family and I join millions of Americans enjoying college basketball’s finest through March Madness. Underdogs always get my vote as we watch intense competition bring out the best in these accomplished teams.
The Final Four is an intense, contested series (kind of like a heated, competitive primary election), so best of luck to all teams, and watch for this principle lived out: the team that wins is the team that wants it more.
To the teams that desire making it this far next year: Gear up! In the battle, set your sights on next season’s targets! From the shot across the bow – the first second’s tip-off – your leaders will be in the enemy’s crosshairs, so you must execute strong defensive tactics. You won’t win only playing defense, so get on offense! The crossfire is intense, so penetrate through enemy territory by bombing through the press, and use your strong weapons – your Big Guns – to drive to the hole. Shoot with accuracy; aim high and remember it takes blood, sweat and tears to win.
Focus on the goal and fight for it. If the gate is closed, go over the fence. If the fence is too high, pole vault in. If that doesn’t work, parachute in. If the other side tries to push back, your attitude should be “go for it.” Get in their faces and argue with them. (Sound familiar?!) Every possession is a battle; you’ll only win the war if you’ve picked your battles wisely. No matter how tough it gets, never retreat, instead RELOAD!

LA TIMES: Now, It's Sarah Palin's Turn To Target Democrats

Friday, March 26, 2010 0 Responses
IF ANYONE HAS FORGOTTEN or was not aware:  Sarah Palin’s church was torched shutting it down for months and causing millions in damage.  That was what the dangerous America hating MSM reported but they forgot to mention it was filled with children, the gas-line was cut, electricity was cut and the phone lines were cut!
Longer term, Palin is doing what any possible presidential candidate should do 32 months out: Hand out her precious personal campaign time and PAC money to potential allies for her own race should she decide to launch one about this time next year.  That's her much vaunted Common sense way. […]
Using her favorite Facebook page, Palin's just said she's going to invest her money and time in "commonsense conservatives" to oppose her list of targeted Democratic representatives.
"We're going to fire them," Palin proclaimed, "and send them back to the private sector, which has been shrinking thanks to their destructive government-growing policies. "Maybe when they join the millions of unemployed, they'll understand why Americans wanted them to focus on job creation and an invigorated private sector."
Why do these Democrats draw Palin's attention? They voted for "Obamacare" and represent districts the McCain-Palin ticket carried. […]
Back to politics: As if to confirm the vulnerability of such Democratic folks, Vice President Joe Effing Biden acknowledged to party donors in Baltimore the other night that they would lose seats this November, as The Ticket reported here.
Joe blamed the anticipated defeats not on the economic stimulus' failure, not on the rancorous and endless healthcare debate, not on the now gaping enthusiasm gap between his party and the GOP. Biden blamed the upcoming 2010 hard times instead on President Obama's 2008 success. Who knew back when they were donating $750 million for hope and change that it would turn out so dismally?

Sarah Palin: Holding Congress Accountable For Disastrous Obama Care, 20 Targets

Tuesday, March 23, 2010 0 Responses
With the president signing this unwanted and “transformative” government takeover of our health care system today with promises impossible to keep, let’s not get discouraged. Don’t get demoralized. Get organized!
We’re going to reclaim the power of the people from those who disregarded the will of the people. We’re going to fire them and send them back to the private sector, which has been shrinking thanks to their destructive government-growing policies. Maybe when they join the millions of unemployed, they’ll understand why Americans wanted them to focus on job creation and an invigorated private sector. Come November, we’re going to print pink slips for members of Congress as fast as they’ve been printing money.
We’re paying particular attention to those House members who voted in favor of Obamacare and represent districts that Senator John McCain and I carried during the 2008 election. Three of these House members are retiring – from Arkansas’s 2nd district, Indiana’s 8th district, and Tennessee’s 6th district – but we’ll be working to make sure that those who replace them are Commonsense Conservatives. The others are running for re-election, and we’re going to hold them accountable for this disastrous Obamacare vote.
They are:
Ann Kirkpatrick (AZ-1)
Harry E. Mitchell (AZ-5)
Gabrielle Giffords (AZ-8)
John Salazar (CO-3)
Betsy Markey (CO-4)
Allen Boyd (FL-2)
Suzanne M. Kosmas (FL-24)
Baron P. Hill (IN-9)
Earl Pomeroy (ND-AL)
Charlie Wilson (OH-6)
John Boccieri (OH-16)
Kathy Dahlkemper (PA-3)
Christopher Carney (PA-10)
John M. Spratt, Jr. (SC-5)
Tom Perriello (VA-5)
Alan B. Mollohan (WV-1)
Nick J. Rahall II (WV-3)
We’ll aim for these races and many others. This is just the first salvo in a fight to elect people across the nation who will bring common sense to Washington. Please go to sarahpac.com and join me in the fight.
Stand tall, America. Real change is coming!

Redstate: Sarah Palin Should Be The Nominee In 2012! Romney’s Candidacy Died Sunday

Monday, March 22, 2010 1 Response
I saw Sarah Palin on the O’Reilly Factor and I am convinced that she is the best candidate to run against Obama and Obama-care. She is the only prospective candidate that is a real conservative and the only one that can solidly run against Obama-care. If anyone can beat Obama it is Sarah Palin and no some middle of the road moderate.
Conservatives will spend the better part of the decade trying to erase and defeat Obama-care. I pray they will be successful.  Mitt Romney’s 2012 candidacy died today and he knows it. The Republican strategy is now and forever running against socialism and Obama-care and not embracing it.  We do not need a republican that enabled the model for Obama-care and championed it, while he was Governor of Massachusetts. The Republicans must beat Obama-care in court and at the state level and take the White House. They do not do this by agreeing with Obama and the leftists on socialized medicine.
Sarah Palin has been a strong critic of Obama-care and will absolutely run against it with no apologies. The Republican party must remain a conservative party and not a liberal party. The Republicans must succeed where the “so called” conservatives in Britain and Canada failed and end national health-care! I think we can win this war and I hope we have real conservatives willing to fight it and not lousy RINOS willing to go along with it. That is why Sarah Palin should be the nominee! This is a fight that will probably last a decade.
