Heavy Hitters Together In Minneapolis (Sarah Palin, Pawlenty, Bachmann, & Hannity)

Thursday, March 11, 2010 0 Responses
Gov. Tim Pawlenty will join another likely Republican presidential contender, Sarah Palin, at a campaign event for Rep. Michele Bachmann on April 7. The appearance by Palin and Pawlenty, along with former Sen. Norm Coleman, and Reps. John Kline and Erik Paulsen, will not actually take place in Bachmann’s district, but instead in downtown Minneapolis.
The event will take place at the Hilton Hotel in Minneapolis, MN, with a private reception and photo opportunity starting at 4:30 p.m., a general reception at 5:00 p.m., and dinner at 6:00 p.m.
Honorary Hosts for the evening include Governor Tim Pawlenty, Senator Norm Coleman, Congressman John Kline, and Congressman Erik Paulsen. If you’re interested in attending, please email Zandra Wolcott at zww@michelebachmann.com for further details.
In addition to the fundraiser, plans are also in the works for a rally. Be sure to check back over the next several days to get the latest on Governor Palin’s visit on April 7.
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will host a fundraising event in Minneapolis April 7 for U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., who is seeking her third term in the House.  The event will include a private reception and photo opportunity at 4:30 p.m., a “general reception” at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6, all at the Minneapolis Hilton.
“Honorary hosts” for the event will be Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman and U.S. Reps. John Kline and Erik Paulsen.
Governor Sarah Palin is the “official” host while the Minnesota politicians are the "honorary hosts" for the fundraiser. The fundraiser will have a private reception with Governor Palin for an additional $500 donation.
Their will also  be a separate rally with Rep. Bachmann and Gov. Sarah Palin making this a total of three campaign events with Sarah Palin.  You have to love the power of Sarah Palin.  If you consider the barrage of attacks from the Lame Stream Media (3 false stories, Canada HealthCare + NBC/Jay Leno ShowSarah Palin at Oscar Gift Suite) in the last 10 days Sarah Palin is tough as nails!  Their is nothing more enjoyable than watching the ass clowns at Huff Post, W Kevin Stoos at CanadafreePress, UK's Telegraph and many many others get punk’d by Sarah Palin!

Sarah Palin Called It: Death Panels Alive & Well In Canada

Thursday, March 11, 2010 0 Responses
Surprise, Surprise!  Sarah Palin called it and here is an example of socialized medicines lovely death panels. Coming to a hopital near you!

Kent Pankow lives in Edmonton, in a province and a country that is trying to either kill him or bankrupt him. No sense mincing words.

Suffering from brain cancer, Kent Pankow was literally forced to go to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. for lifesaving surgery — at a cost to family and friends of $106,000 — after the health-care system in Alberta left him hanging in bureaucratic limbo for 16 crucial days, his tumour meanwhile migrating to an unreachable part of the brain, while it dithered over his case file, ultimately deciding he was not surgery worthy.
Now, with the Mayo Clinic having done what the Alberta Cancer Board wouldn’t authorize or even explain, but with the tumour unable to be totally removed, the province will now not fund the expensive drug, Avastin, that the Mayo prescribed to keep him alive and keep the remaining tumour from increasing in size — despite the costs of the drug being totally funded by the province for other forms of cancer.
Kent Pankow, as it turns out, has the right disease but he has it in the wrong place.
Had he lung cancer, breast cancer, or colon cancer, then the cost of the drug — $4,555 per treatment, two times a month — would be totally covered by Alberta’s version of OHIP.  But he doesn’t.
And so he is not only a victim of brain cancer, he is also a victim of arbitrary discrimination. […]
Federal Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq, however, in a letter to Deborah Hurford, wrote that “while Health Canada is responsible for the market authorization of drug products, the province and territorial governments are responsible for managing the list of drugs for which public reimbursement from government drug plans is available.”  This, too, is passing the buck.
What Aglukkaq would not explain to Hurford — citing confidentiality — was why Avastin received a notice of compliance from Health Canada for other forms of cancer, but not yet for brain cancer as in the United States.
Nor would she offer any information regarding any application before her department for the use of Avastin in the treatment of brain tumours.
“Based on Kent’s MRI’s and radiology reports, and analysis by his surgeon at the Mayo Clinic, Avastin is playing a key role in stabilizing Kent’s tumour,” says Hurford.  “Without it, Kent’s tumour will grow and he will die.
“So why then,” asks Hurford, “is (everyone) choosing not to help Kent and other brain tumour patients who are forced to go public with their private health issues and fundraise for their lifesaving medical treatments?
“Where is the dignity in that?”
