Governor Palin's North American Pipeline Is One Step Closer

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 0 Responses

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Federal pipeline regulators have granted TransCanada Corp.'s request to work with the regulators in advance of deciding to develop a multibillion-dollar natural gas pipeline from Prudhoe Bay to Alberta. By working with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in advance on the Alaska portion of the pipeline project, TransCanada can speed up its preparation of a formal application to have its project sanctioned. It also could speed up FERC's sanctioning, as its staff will be better versed in the project.
"We believe that beginning the commission's review of most proposals prior to the receipt of the application will greatly improve our ability to identify issues early and address them in our environmental review document," said Kristine L. Delkus, FERC deputy general counsel.
"Because an Alaska natural gas transportation project will likely require multiple field seasons to develop an application, use of the pre-filing process will ensure completion of the environmental impact statement within the legislated time frame," Delkus said.

Governor Palin Has Our Hearts, RINOs Join Forces With Liberals

Tuesday, May 05, 2009 4 Responses

This week's recent snooze-fest GOP "listening tour" that attracted a whopping 100 people to some random pizza shop in Virginia represented the next wave of Palin Derangement Syndrome. It is time, as one blogger noted for the RINOs of the party to decide who their bigger enemy is.
The snooz-fest featuring (foot-in-mouth disease) Mitt Romney (who even with millions spent in the primary still couldn't attract support or crowds during the campaign) newly-minted "moderate" Jeb Bush and Eric Cantor telling us that we need to stop talking about Ronald Reagan, back off on socially conservative positions and "listen" to the American people.
Romney also took veiled swipes at Governor Palin for making the TIMEs 100 most influential people list. Jeb Bush was a surprise to hear championing moderation given that he governed as a solid conservative in Florida. Plain and simple the GOP establishment has declared war on the grassroots conservatives. Their constant snubbing and trivializing of Governor Palin is proof positive of that.

Governor Palin has the hearts of most grassroots conservatives. She has won us not just by her conservative positions, but with her genuine true character. She genuinely shares her convictions to the massive throngs that greet her everywhere she goes in a way that connects with people. She is a woman more concerned with her convictions and with serving her country than with preserving power at all costs. Rush Limbaugh knows it. Ann Coulter knows it. Michael Reagan knows it. The heart of the grassroots community knows it. The GOP better learn their lessons quickly. Until then, a certain moose-hunting lass from Alaska will have to stand on her own two feet and speak truth to power.
