I am a Soldier stationed at Fort Hood and we did a Ramp Ceremony (putting the Flag draped coffins on the plane) and there were 500-1000 soldiers that were there to give respect. Even the Army Chief of Staff from DC came to give his respect. Mayors from the nearby cities were there. No President Obama though. He was able to go to New Jersey 5 times to campain for the former governor, but he couldn't come to pay his respect the day after the terrible tragedy. Even President Bush came to Fort Hood to visit the wounded last night.
The White House stated that Obama will be here on Tuseday. Why wait so long to come? President Bush came here without telling the media only telling the commanding General. The only way to get Obama here is to tell the meadia and have it broadcast world wide.".....
On the www.AnySoldier.com website, their is a photo of Spc Jason Dean Hunt, 22 of Tipton, OK who was killed at FT Hood. He was once a contact person for his unit on this wonderful website that gives addresses for all branches of our military. He'd been married only two months.
