My, have things changed. I was honored to have Rev. Franklin Graham speak at my Governor’s Prayer Breakfasts. His good work in Alaska’s Native villages and his charitable efforts all over the world stem from his servant’s heart. In my years of knowing him, I’ve never found his tempered and biblically-based comments to be offensive – in fact his words have been encouraging and full of real hope.
It’s truly a sad day when such a fine patriotic man, whose son is serving on his fourth deployment in Afghanistan to protect our freedom of speech and religion, is dis-invited from speaking at the Pentagon’s National Day of Prayer service. His comments in 2001 were aimed at those who are so radical that they would kill innocent people and subjugate women in the name of religion.
Are we really so hyper-politically correct that we can’t abide a Christian minister who expresses his views on matters of faith? What a shame. Yes, thing have changed.

  1. 1LTLos Said,

Gone are real men who once occupied the Pentagon. A new generation of cowardly PC, enemy embracing service person has infiltrated this once mighty fortress of military might - COWARDS and panty waists the lot of them - we have no military leaders or scant few and certainly do not have a commander in chief. Read the second amendment today and understand, once it was the British now it is CAIR and secular socialists - Americans, YOU ARE the organized militia.

Sara, you are also being PC! Islam is a religion of death, murder and slavery. If the arab people were free to choose, there would be few that would choose Islam. But then again, maybe not. Perhaps they are in God's plan. I lived in Muslim countries for four years, do not be taken in buy their smooth talk and performance. They have practiced their trade for centuries.Remember the goal is to conquer the world.
They nearly did at one time. But the Crusaders saved the day.

We have trended in this direction for a while. This administration has gone out of their way to kill any religious expression that remained.

Rev. Graham is a Christian, obama is a muzzlem. Need I say more. obama is trying to require the citizens of the United States of America, to embrace the muzzlem religion. A religion of violence and slavery. The Pentagon is run by an obama appointee. That wants to keep his job and not make his boss mad at him. And there you are.

Such a shame that a good Christian like Franklin Graham is being persecuted for speaking the truth and upholding human rights. This particular statement was made in 2001. What is the reason for the long wait to make a big noise about it now? What's with the Pentagon...different presidents maybe!!

"This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints." Patient endurance and willingness to stand. God bless America, and let true Americans bless God by their love for Him and their love for the freedom that He has given. This shows the day and hour that we are in. Wake up and find a Tea Party, Patriots.

  9. Burl Said,

People tend to forget, or at least overlook, that our commiemuslim in chief was raised as a muslim and a Marxist. He has said that America is no longer a Christian Nation and I believe he sincerely wishes that were true. The fact is that, in a recent Rasmussen poll, 78% of those Americans polled believed that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, walked on the earth about 2000 years ago, died on the cross to atone for our sins, rose again and ascended into heaven. Only 10% of Americans polled didn't believe any of that (As we used to say in the Marine Corps, there are always 10% who never get the Word.) I can't find anything else which as many as 78% of Americans agree on. Only by ignoring the facts can one conclude that this is not a Christian Nation.

Reverend Graham is entirely right about Islam. If it is a religion of peace as claimed, it is only by peace through world domination. We can never be at peace with Islam until either they rule the world and everyone bows to them (as Obama does) or we destroy their ability to perform their terrorist acts.

God bless Sarah Palin. As with Ranklin Graham, the MSM and Left-wing extremists are trying to destroy Sarah Palin. This is still the United States, and those who speak out against Islamic extremists are doing the world a public service. Sadly, the "moderate" Islamists are afraid to speak out against people who seek to detroy them -- and us.

The Pentagon is wrong and has been for a number of years by bowing to the pressures of the progressive and atheist members of our society. Most in the military are Christian and welcome the reverend's comments. The minorities in the service have been catered to enough already. It is time that the military address the concerns of the majority, as well as the minority in caring for those under their command. The leadership of the military have turned in the later years toward being much more political as was seen in their addressing the rights of their officers to have the eligibility of Obama confirmed per the Constitution before they should obey his commands in war. Basically, in this instance they enforced "Don't ask (Obama)" and "(He, Obama) won't tell" then crucifying those with the courage to ask for the truth. The genmerals bent over backwards to placate the Obama administration at the detriment of their officers and NCOs. Their actions will lead to weakening the cohesion of the US Fighting force due to the mistrust of their men and women in their leaders covering their back as they march off to war.

  14. Buzzkill Said,

It is little wonder to me that the general government has chosen to openly deny access to openly-professed people of faith. It has been trying, for years, to convince the American people that everything we have ever relied upon - Christianity, family, country - is bad and that the government has all of the answers.

It has sought to ruin the family by driving wedges between parents and children, and by scattering the extended family unit to the winds.

It has sought to destroy Christianity in America by denying our historic Christian roots and rejecting the primacy of God - putting unnecessary laws in place to provide protections for people who do not need any more protection than the basic laws provide when they are consistently and ethically employed.

It has sought to destroy America from within by doing everything it can to shock, dismay, annoy, irritate, and otherwise put off her allies - simultaneously getting cuddly with our enemies and making America appear to be a place nobody can trust.

Ethics, character, integrity - all things that America has stood for through the years. Now the rest of the world is wondering what happened. In brief, we got lazy. We decided that our personal issues were paramount, that everyone else felt the same about their personal issues, and that the government would see to making everything work (that's why we pay taxes, isn't it?). Even when the government's dishonesty and outright corruption was exposed like a cheating spouse, we continued to allow them to do what they were doing because we believed that they really were involved in an important market study of enhanced condoms. As we closed the door to the room and walked away to the sound of laughter coming from behind it, we wanted to believe the lie so much that we parked ourselves in front of the TV with a beer and proceeded to perform the La-La dance.

Now, years later, we have returned to the room and peered through the doorway to see what is going on. The pile of condoms - extortionist taxes, bad international deals, failed domestic and foreign policies - has become distressingly large, and there seems to be little difference between them all. The crowd lined up in the room, trousers down and waiting their turn, has lengthened - Colombia, Mexico, China, North Korea, Iraq, Iran, France, Russia, Cuba, and more, all waiting for their turn.

It is time to take the business sign down and tell the rest of the world that America is not whoring herself anymore. It is time to take a primary interest in all Americans, not just a noisy minority with no scruples as to how they get attention, or access to lots of money. It is time for America to develop a character - a face that is consistent no matter what leadership we have at the time - so that people around the world know that they can trust America to be what she appears at all times.

If we do not do this, we are finished at a major player on the world stage.

  15. Paul Curtis Said,

President Obama has done something that no other president in history has been able to accomplish. He has made the conservative movement so upset that they are going to show up in force at the polls come this November and the tide is going to turn. This has been a wakeup call that no one else on the planet could have created. One of the Ten Commandments is, "Thou shalt not lie." Of course that is probably not in the koran so how would he know about it?

Fix bayonets and let us march!

    Franklin Graham's Warning !

Franklin's warning of coming persecution of Christians echoes what his mother Ruth and father Billy have clearly stated. Re Ruth, see search engines including Google for "Letter from Mrs. Billy Graham." To see what Billy has written, Google "Famous Rapture Watchers - Addendum."
Since Franklin blamed the Obama administration for his own National Day of Prayer snub and persecution, and since he accused "Christian" Obama of "giving Islam a pass," readers can get some rare insights into Obama and his fellow travelers by Yahooing and Googling "Obama Supports Public Depravity," "Obama Avoids Bible Verses," "Separation of Raunch and State," and "David Letterman's Hate, Etc."
To see some exceptional in-depth studies of coming persecution, see two unique books by media figure Joe Ortiz entitled "The End Times Passover" and "Why Christians Will Suffer 'Great Tribulation' " - both published in the US and UK by AuthorHouse.

  17. Henry Said,

    Dear Sarah Palin,
Do you truely care, lets find out.
Lets do this, people feel so helpless to find a way to bring change into the hearts of our Government Officials. And Supreme Court Judges. As we move forward into a new area and the Laws against God and Country is still in effect, what shall we do ? What can we say ? Let Me share with you The W.O.R.D.....{ Worship Of Religion Day }, a decree...
The separation of Church and State by Law,was for a purpose, and as it would seem its purpose has been violated. You see, people do not need to have permission for a day of prayer, or a moment of silence at school. The simple fact is Man is not in position to make Law against God. The United States Of America was built by men and women of faith. Every where we look from the dollar bill to the Flag to the Constitution, you will find God, and the WORD.
When you take the Constitution, The Declaration Of Independence, and The Bill Of Rights. First you must admire the simplicity of the Trinity of Laws Of Protection, as they work as One, and at the same time they maintain their independence. These Laws / Guide Lines are in place for a good reason, and it is forbidden by Law to amend the above Laws to the misrepresentation of intent because those who do not have Faith.
As these Government Officials go to Church on Sunday, do they pray to a God they do not believe in ?
On page 20 at our site, line 10, you will see my in site, my belief. I ask you to unite with us and you do not need my permission to post with FASC Concepts, just do it and spread the WORD. I can not do this alone.
10.We Bring forward the Trevor McKinney ACT into law, this Law is to make it unconstitutional for any Official Of Court or Government Official to create Laws against God and Country, and to protect this Law under the Patriot Act
Trevor McKinney was killed at school, a child killed by another child. Both so young that it allows you to see the vacuum created within schools, by a Law that states No Moment of Silence for a prayer at school.
I have watched for over 40 years our children die, become lost to the drug world, and our Country torn apart by Laws from those of no faith.
FASC Concepts in and for Pay it Forward covers the web see why we have become the largest web site in the United States, and we give our thank to the thousands of people who post by us, as one voice. on google , yahoo, and aol
