Gov Palin: Obama’s Hypocritical Lecture Poking Our Allies In The Eye Again

On Monday, during a fundraiser in California, President Obama declared that Europe’s debt problems and their inability to solve them was “scaring the world.” He went on to explain that Europeans “have not fully healed from the crisis back in 2007 and never fully dealt with the challenges that their banking system faced” and that “they’re trying to take responsible actions, but those actions haven’t been quite as quick as they need to be.”
This of course is coming from a President who has done nothing to deal with our own country’s enormous debt crisis and who is in fact eager to incur even more debt with another useless stimulus bill (now called a “jobs bill” though the last stimulus failed to produce the jobs it promised, which is perhaps why Harry Reid doesn’t seem too eager to bring this new bill to a vote despite the President’s demands to “pass this bill”). Yes, Europe has serious debt problems, but for President Obama to be lecturing our allies about not being “quite as quick” in dealing with a debt crisis is downright hypocritical.
When his all-too-common finger-pointing is directed at Republicans, President Obama’s search for a scapegoat is swallowed as merely the typical Beltway politics of our permanent political class. But pointing fingers at our allies when they are working to get their own financial house in order is counterproductive and can have a serious negative affect on our ability to lead the free world.

Can we blame them for feeling this way? Keep in mind this was a President who was supposed to make the rest of the world “like” us again.
It’s about time the President showed some leadership and took responsibility rather than campaigning on blaming everyone else for the financial mess his policies have exacerbated.
Between President Obama’s hypocritical lecture poking our allies in the eye again and one Democrat governor’s call to postpone lawfully mandated elections for two years, I suppose nothing should surprise concerned Americans anymore. But that doesn’t mean we have to accept these misguided memes. 2012 can’t come soon enough.

Steve Bannon just released a powerful film about Alaska’s history, our rich resources, and a committed team’s successful effort to tackle political corruption. Bannon’s independently financed, produced, and directed film called “The Undefeated” is now available on cable via pay-per-view and video-on-demand. I’m thankful for Bannon’s group at Victory Films for independently putting their own time and resources into documenting the work my team in Alaska did in successfully fighting corruption and enacting real reform that put local and state government back on the side of the people. Thank you to the good Alaskans who participated in the film and spoke so passionately about our state’s history, our natural resources, and our destiny as the energy contributor for America’s security.
Bannon’s film shows how on a state and local level all citizens – no matter background or party affiliation – can come together to fight the special interests and the corrupt powers-that-be that steal power from the people. Through examples of putting government-run businesses back into the private sector hands, inviting competition, reducing taxes, and blowing the doors open to force government transparency, “The Undefeated” shows that though real reform is difficult and real reformers are vilified, it is possible. The obstacles in the way of reform are why true reform is so rare, but as the film shows, it can be done and it is worth doing.
This film is not about any one person. It’s about great American values – like our indomitable optimistic pioneering spirit – that will always see America through no matter how tough times are. It’s the spirit of our Last Frontier, it’s the story of how Alaskans fought corruption and won, it’s the story of the spirit of the Tea Party Movement, and it’s the story of a people’s movement for reform. I’m grateful to these filmmakers for telling the story.

After listening to the President’s press conference today, let’s keep in mind the following:
This is the same president who proposed an absurdly irresponsible budget that would increase our debt by trillions of dollars, and whose party failed to even put forward a budget in over 800 days! This is the same president who is pushing our country to the brink because of his reckless spending on things like the nearly trillion dollar “stimulus” boondoggle. This is the same president who ignored his own debt commission’s recommendations and demonized the voices of fiscal sanity who proposed responsible plans to reform our entitlement programs and rein in our dangerous debt trajectory. This is the same president who wanted to push through an increase in the debt ceiling that didn’t include any cuts in government spending! This is the same president who wants to slam Americans with tax hikes to cover his reckless spending, but has threatened to veto a bill proposing a balanced budget amendment. This is the same president who hasn’t put forward a responsible plan himself, but has rejected reasonable proposals that would tackle our debt. This is the same president who still refuses to understand that the American electorate rejected his big government agenda last November. As I said in Madison, Wisconsin, at the Tax Day Tea Party rally, “We don’t want it. We can’t afford it. And we are unwilling to pay for it.”
Now the President is outraged because the GOP House leadership called his bluff and ended discussions with him because they deemed him an obstruction to any real solution to the debt crisis.
He has been deemed a lame duck president. And he is angry now because he is being treated as such.
His foreign policy strategy has been described as “leading from behind.” Well, that’s his domestic policy strategy as well. Why should he be surprised that he’s been left behind in the negotiations when he’s been leading from behind on this debt crisis?
Thank you, GOP House leaders. Please don’t get wobbly on us now.
2012 can’t come soon enough.

“As far as I know, she is trying to rent a motorcycle, so she can ride with her husband,” said Nancy Regg, a spokeswoman for Rolling Thunder.
Gregg says the tentative plan is for Palin to join up with the ride at the Pentagon at 7 a.m. The ride kicks off at noon, and hundreds of bikers will snake through D.C. to the event’s main stage, which will be between the Reflecting Pool and the Korean War Veterans Memorial on the Mall. The program is scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m.
Gregg said Palin is currently not scheduled to speak at the event and watchers should not expect any type of “political statement” from Palin during Rolling Thunder.
Sarah Palin’s aides have not responded yet to a request for comment on her plans.
The Rolling Thunder appearance is Palin’s first stop on a nationwide bus tour she’s dubbed “One Nation.” […]

From her spot on the oil-and-gas commission, PALIN touched off a storm over these anxieties. One glaring example of the unhealthy commingling of oil interests and Republican politics was her fellow commissioner and Murkowski appointee, Randy Ruedrich, who was also chairman of the state Republican Party. Less than a year into the job, Ruedrich got crosswise with PALIN for conducting party business from his office (and, it was later revealed, giving information to a company that the commission oversaw). When he ignored her admonitions to stop, she complained to Murkowski’s staff, but still nothing happened. So PALIN laid out her concerns in a letter to the governor and the story leaked to the media. In the ensuing uproar, PALIN became a hero and Murkowski was left no choice but to fire Ruedrich from the commission.
PALIN got strong support from an unlikely quarter: Democrats. “She had the appearance of someone who was willing to go in a different direction,” Hollis French, a Democratic state senator, told me. “We subsequently learned that she’ll throw anyone under a bus, but that wasn’t apparent at the time. It looked like real moral courage.” […]
In the Republican primary, PALIN crushed Murkowski, delivering one of the worst defeats ever suffered by an incumbent governor anywhere. She went on to have little trouble dispatching Knowles, an oil-friendly Democrat. “A lot of people on the East Coast, when they think of Sarah PALIN now,” Cliff Groh, a former state tax lobbyist, told me, “some five-letter words come to mind: Scary. Crazy. Angry. Maybe some others. But the five-letter word that people in Alaska associated with her name was clean.” […]
At first, her team tried to win the Republicans over. But it became clear this wasn’t going to happen. So PALIN did something that would be hard to imagine from her today: she pivoted to the Democrats. “We sat down with her and said, ‘If you want to get something passed, it’ll have to be much stronger,’” Les Gara, a liberal House member, told me. “And to give her credit, she did what she needed to get a bill passed.” […]
Four years later, PALIN’s gas line hasn’t gotten going, but it’s not really her fault. Plunging natural-gas prices have made the project uneconomical. Her oil tax is a different story: though designed to capture more revenue under most scenarios, ACES has raised a lot more money than almost anyone imagined. That’s largely because of high oil prices. But it also shows that the law is working. ConocoPhillips, BP, and ExxonMobil have reported record profits—so it’s fitting that, in a sense, Alaska has, too. It’s no exaggeration to say that ACES has made the state one of the fiscally strongest in the union. Flush with cash, Alaska produced large capital budgets that blunted the effects of the recession. Moody’s just upped the state’s bond rating to AAA for the first time. While other states reel under staggering deficits, budget cuts, and protests, Alaska has built up a $12 billion surplus, most of it attributable to PALIN’s tax. Galvin estimates that it has raised $8 billion more than Murkowski’s tax would have. But given the corruption that plagued the PPT, a better benchmark might be the tax it supplanted—the one put on the books after the Exxon Valdez spill. By that measure, PALIN’s major achievement has probably meant the difference between a $12 billion surplus and a deficit. […]
But PALIN isn’t the type to feel regret. And her choice of a different kind of political celebrity isn’t likely to be her biggest obstacle. Rather, she’ll have to overcome a lack of experience, long odds of winning, and a Republican establishment whose leaders are deeply hostile to the idea of her candidacy. That’s why most people in Washington believe she won’t run. But in Alaska, they’re not so sure. The PALIN they knew faced many of the same obstacles, and nothing about her charmed career, from mayor to governor to vice-presidential nominee and finally to global celebrity, suggests to them that she would ever be deterred.

We bring this up because over the weekend, the ex-governor of Alaska gave the current reality-show star an attaboy for his embrace of “birtherism.” You know, the school of thought that holds that President Obama was not born in the United States and therefore is not eligible for the job he now has, constitutionally speaking.
“I appreciate that ‘The Donald’ wants to spend his resources in getting to the bottom of something that so interests him and many Americans – you know, more power to him,” Ms. Palin said Saturday on Fox News’s “Justice With Judge Jeanine.” “He’s not just throwing stones from the sidelines; he’s digging in there. He’s paying for researchers to find out why President Obama would have spent $2 million to not show his birth certificate.” […]
Mr. Trump is doing pretty well among Republican voters at the moment, so he would bring some political appeal into such a partnership. He’s basically running like he’s already a boss, as opposed to some of the other candidates, who by comparison seem like applicants for the job.
Since he promotes himself as a business success and economic maven, Trump might be expected to appeal to economic conservatives. Palin, in contrast, has deep roots among social conservatives and tea party types. Put that together, and you might have a winning coalition. […]
Which one would run as a presidential candidate, which would run as a possible VP? We’ll let them solve that problem, as it’s a subject we are loath to touch. However, we will mention one possible creative solution: a co-presidency, in which one is the titular top of the ticket, but promises that the other will serve beside him (or her) as an equal.
Ronald Reagan and Gerald Ford discussed something like this at the 1980 Republican convention. The theory was that the Gipper and the ex-president would make an unbeatable Batman-and-Robin political team. But the whole thing faded away when it turned out Mr. Reagan and his advisers didn’t really want to cede much power, and George H.W. Bush got picked instead for VP.

One of the many memes the GOP establishment, the Left and the media try to stick to Governor Palin is that she is unqualified to be President if she chooses to run. With today being her 47th birthday, it’s odd that so many people think she is younger than thirty-five years old! So, in honor of her birthday, I’d like to share 47 reasons Governor Palin is qualified to be President above and beyond constitutional requirements. In no particular order:
- She won’t perjure herself by taking the Presidential oath of office like many of her potential opponents.
- She has 9 years of executive experience, more than 3 times as much as the current President. As Governor, she held the 2nd most powerful gubernatorial office in the country.
- She knows how to budget. In her years as Governor, she reduced the state budget 9.5% over her predecessor and put $5 billion in state savings.
- She reduced federal earmark requests 80% as Governor over her predecessor, recognizing the need for fiscal responsibility at both state and national levels.
- She’s a proven reformer. She strove to break the bonds between Alaskan politicians and oil companies and passed sweeping ethics reform.
- She believes in true governmental transparency. As Governor, she put the state checkbook online to allow constituents to know how and where the state was spending revenue. During the negotiations of one of the cornerstones of her administration, the Alaska Gasline Inducement Act (AGIA), all proposals were made available for public consumption.
- In signing the AGIA legislation and the progress that continues to this day, she brought a transcontinental pipeline project from Alaska to the Lower 48 further than 30 years of previous administrations. AGIA is the largest private sector infrastructure project in North American history.
- She believes in oversight not over regulation for energy development. She opened an Petroleum Integrity Office to oversee energy development in Alaska.
- She believes in an all-of-the-above approach to energy development, including opening up ANWR, on shore drilling, off shore drilling, natural gas, coal, nuclear, and renewables.
- She understand the effects of quantitative easing will have on the economy in general and on commodity prices specifically.
- She would have the intestinal fortitude to actually take on reformation of entitlement programs to help derail the bullet train to bankruptcy.
- For the role of the presidency, the Constitution devotes the majority of its text to the role of commander-in-chief. Governor Palin would take this role seriously as displayed by her commitment to America’s military and her desire for a strong national defense.
- As part of her commitment to strong national defense, she criticized the Obama administration for making cuts to missile defense, and she stands strongly against the START treaty between Russia and America.
- She has been firmly against Obamacare from the beginning of legislative talks and strongly supports repeal.She truly sees America as an exceptional nation because of its people.
- She praises what makes America unique; she doesn’t apologize.
- She puts principles above party and political expediency.
- She has stood strongly for securing America’s borders, as shown by her support of Arizona’s immigration law.
- She is strongly pro-life–a welcomed far cry from the pro-abortion president in history now occupying the White House.
- She stand supports human rights, particularly speaking out against the human rights abuses in China, Iran, and amongst peoples who embrace Sharia law.
- With regards to foreign policy, she has a far better grasp situation in Egypt with regards to the potential of the Muslim brotherhood’s involvement in a new government and Mubarak’s plans better than members of President Obama’s intelligence team, Leon Panetta and James Clapper.
- She actually had private sector experience that would enable her to understand what it takes to make payroll and budget with in one’s means, unlike the majority of members of the Obama administration.
- She’s a strong advocate for the 10th amendment, showing she understand not only the balance of powers between the branches of the federal government, but also between the federal and state governments.
- She shows grace under fire. In spite of having accusations of blood libel launched against her, she stood strongly and gracefully for the victims of the shooting in Tucson and for the freedom of open political discourse.
- Beyond her political achievements and strong conservative stances, she has character. In spite of a two and a half yeas of a constant barrage of ethics complaints, smears, lies, and media misrepresentation, she has remained strong.
- She has the ability to communicate with people across the spectrums of age, education, and background. She just as comfortable speaking to with businesspeople in Hong Kong as she is speaking to GOP supporters in California or pro-life advocates in Indiana.
- She is stands strongly with America’s allies, like Israel.
- The American people stand with her on the issues more than they do the current president.
- She has already taken on the Establishment in Alaska and won.
- She lives America’s motto–in God we trust.
- She ticks off all the right people.
- She believes the shrinking government expands individual freedom.
- She understands the threats of country like Iran.
- She understands the difference between separation of church and state and separation of God and state.
- As Governor, she forward funded education, giving schools greater flexibility and predictability in their planning.
- She was prescient of the Obama administration’s plans and policies as far back as September of 2008, and she can effectively reverse these policies.
- She is a firm advocate of freedom of speech, even standing up for those who have denigrated her.
- She knows how to respond to the largest environmental disaster in our nation’s history, unlike our current president.
- She believes America needs to restored, not fundamentally transformed.
- She has the optimism of Reagan with the tenacity of Thatcher.
- With Governor Palin as President, the era of big government would be gone.
- She doesn’t believe in identity politics or put people in a box.She sees individual Americans, not voting blocs.
- She is an American first, conservative second, and Republican third.
- She speaks from the heart,not a teleprompter.
- She is a leader, not a politician.
- She believes in developing a strong work ethic.
- She learns from others who have been at the other end of the political and religious spectrum–Reagan was a former Democrat, Thomas Sowell is a former Marxist, and C.S. Lewis was a former atheist
- She’s not afraid to go rogue.

Governor Palin Gave Over $500,000 To Candidates (Last Day For Signed Copy Of America By Heart)

Sarah Palin gave at least $507,000 to candidates and political causes in 2010 as she earned a reputation as kingmaker and raised her profile ahead of a possible presidential run.
The biggest chunk of that money, about $306,500, was doled out in the month leading to the Nov. 2 general election by her political action committee, SarahPAC, filings with the Federal Election Commission show.
Her latest filing Tuesday showed contributions of nearly $465,000 between Oct. 14 and Nov. 22. During that period, Palin gave $244,000 to conservative candidates, state Republican parties and ballot fights.
Palin gave $5,000 each to Renee Ellmers successful recount effort in a North Carolina U.S. House race and Joe Miller's legal fight in Alaska's still-disputed U.S. Senate race.
For the year, she raised more than $3 million. She ended the latest reporting period with nearly $1.3 million on hand.

Out of the twenty Obamacare-voting Democrats identified on our Take Back the 20 website, 18 were defeated by conservative candidates with SarahPAC support. We are very humbled to have been a part of this historic wave election and we are confident that the new class of conservatives heading to Washington in January will go on to do great things for their constituents, and our nation.

My home state of Alaska offers incredible beauty, amazing wildlife, abundant natural resources, friendly people, and no individual income tax. Alaska also has the best tort climate in the United States according to the U.S. Tort Liability Index: 2010 Report from the Pacific Research Institute (PRI).
In this top-notch report, PRI scholars analyze the costs and risks of each state’s tort system and conclude that Alaska is best overall. The report, now in its third edition, has been influential because the rankings are based on hard data, not opinions or speculation. The data don’t lie and Alaska is number one for good reasons.
Alaska has the second-lowest monetary tort payouts of any state, controlling for the size of each state’s economy. Our tort costs are particularly low for businesses—another reason for entrepreneurs to locate here. We also have some of the lowest medical liability costs in the country. We appreciate doctors in Alaska and welcome them with open arms, not abusive lawsuits.
Alaska also boasts the lowest relative tort litigation risks of any state. The state may abound in moose but it doesn’t have any “judicial hellholes” skewed to personal injury lawyers. The state also doesn’t have huge outlier jury awards. Its tort caseload is third-lowest in the country and it’s not flooded with lawyers. We practice the rule of law, not the rule of lawyers as in other states.
Alaska’s great tort climate is good for business and for all my fellow Alaskans. As the U.S. Tort Liability Index demonstrates, states with sound civil-justice systems and fair tort rules enjoy lower insurance premiums, increased employment and output, and higher individual incomes. A sound civil-justice system also expands the tax base, yields greater innovation, and lowers health care costs while improving access to health care.
Given these sweeping benefits, all states would do well to follow Alaska’s example and enact legal reforms that eliminate lawsuit abuse. The state motto, after all, is “North to the Future.”
