Quote Of The Day:
"Have you noticed that the ONLY leading Republican and Conservative in the Nation who is acting like a leader, not attacking, behaving, and staying above it all is …. SARAH PALIN. In other words, it’s time for a little estrogen"

Fairbanks, Alaska – On Memorial Day Governor Palin today read a proclamation to honor military members at Veterans Memorial Park in Fairbanks. “On this Memorial Day, we remember, honor, and give thanks to those who died in service to this nation,” Governor Palin said. “Today, we honor all of the brave men and women of our armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the freedoms we hold so dear.”

Governor Palin also signed 9 pieces of legislation while in Fairbanks:
Senate Bill 45, which establishes an Alaska veterans’ cemetery near Fairbanks. SB 45, sponsored by Senators Gene Therriault and Charlie Huggins, directs the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs to pursue the creation of a U.S. Department of Military and Veterans Affairs-approved cemetery where veterans can receive their full burial rights.
House Joint Resolution 10, HJR10 is a resolution urging the US Congress to improve health care for veterans.
Senate Bill 142, sponsored by Senator Joe Paskvan, transfers five acres of land from the Alaska Railroad to the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities. This will allow the state to reconstruct Illinois Street, which provides primary access to downtown Fairbanks.
Senate Bill 114, sponsored by Senator Paskvan, extends the State Board of Registration for Architects, Engineers, and Land Surveyors until June 30, 2017.
Senate Bill 133, sponsored by Senator Paskvan, modernizes Alaska’s health care IT infrastructure by developing a secure electronic Health Information Exchange system to improve the safety, cost-effectiveness, and quality of health care in Alaska.
Senate Bill 48, sponsored by Senator Therriault, exempts municipal service area boards from the requirements of conducting meetings open to the public when a meeting is administrative or managerial in nature.
House Bill 121, sponsored by Representative John Coghill, requires the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities to retrofit, where cost-effective, all public facilities within 15 years of the completion of an energy use index database.
Senate Bill 170, sponsored by Senator Johnny Ellis, modifies the Alaska unemployment insurance statutes by redefining the base period for determining eligibility for unemployment benefits, relating to contributions, interest, penalties, and payments under the Alaska Employment Security Act.
House Bill 177, sponsored by Representative Coghill, implements consumer protection for ATVs, snowmobiles, boat motors, and other recreational vehicles. HB 177 requires a manufacturer to replace a defective product or refund the price of the product if the product is unusable by the purchaser for more than 30 days in the first year of the purchase.

Governor Palin The Wise Vs. Øbama The Ignorant

Monday, May 25, 2009 2 Responses

Governor Palin: "More N Korea nuke tests: why consider US missile program cuts now? Alaska military program helps secure US. Now is NOT time to cut our defense." Once again we have North Korea detonate a nuclear bomb and Governor Palin stands strong. Øbama & his crony's respond with empty words and his ignorant & naive polices put America in further danger.

Earlier this month Øbama proposed budget cuts for Fiscal Year 2010. Millions in cuts from missile defense funding and reduced spending for the Alaska's Denali Commission and the Village Safe Water program. “These budget cuts add up to about half of 1 percent,” Governor Palin said. “But while they do little to put brakes on the exploding federal deficit, they hit Alaska hard. I join our congressional delegation in their determination to see that Alaska’s unique challenges and its key role in national defense are not overlooked.” The Øbama budget would cancel a 2nd missile defense field at Fort Greely and freeze the number of interceptors being deployed there. “This is an outrageous move at a time when North Korea has shown its willingness to flout international sentiments and conduct missile tests,” Governor Palin said. “America needs a strong missile defense, and Alaska’s strategic location is invaluable in protecting the nation.”

What we have is another laughable United Nations resolution and Øbama the "Globalist" equally inept. North Korea realizes Øbama is a pushover, similar to Bill Clinton, and with this nuclear test they expect and will get billions in aid.

Governor Palin Cuts Alaska's Budget by 30% On Top Of Having A $6 Billion Surplus

Thursday, May 21, 2009 1 Response

May 21, 2009, Juneau, Alaska – Governor Palin today signed six bills but most importantly the FY2010 Operating Budget & the FY2010 Capital Budget. “We submitted a responsible, fiscally conservative budget,” Governor Palin said. “Given the current revenue outlook and economic conditions, we must focus on providing essential public services, while continuing to invest in communities and resource development that will fuel our economy in the future.

The operating budget bill totals $8.7 billion (down from $11.1 billion) and includes funding for public education, the university, public health and safety, transportation, and resource development. “We have taken significant steps to slow government growth and achieve savings in the current fiscal year,” Governor Palin said. “This administration takes fiscal responsibility seriously and reducing expenditures will extend the life of our savings accounts.”

The capital budget bill, SB 75, which totals $1.87 billion (down from $3.6 billion), was also signed today. “This capital budget contains a number of projects, including transportation, schools, and public safety, which will help communities across the state improve infrastructure and bolster the economy,” said Palin. “With the robust capital budgets of the past two years and this capital spending bill, Alaskans will see many improvements and additional job opportunities.” “I appreciate the legislators working with us on the budget during these challenging economic times,” Governor Palin said. “The conservative spending plan I signed today will provide basic government services, leverage additional federal and other funds, and make a significant investment in Alaska’s future.”

Governor Palin was also handed a state with run-away spending and one of her 1st mandates was to create a rainy day fund. Today that amounts to $6 billion is reserves for the State of Alaska.

For now we can only imagine having Governor Palin in Washington. The embarrassment Øbama is quickly bankrupting and weakening the USA faster then even the fool Jimmy Carter. The mess Carter created brought us Governor Reagan and the disaster "tele-prompter of the 57 United States" will bring us Governor Palin.
